The Cows

Come in and meet the herd.

We started this little herd two years ago with two cows from the Longash herd. I had ogled these cows for around five years dreaming of one day starting a herd of our own and then, with a great deal of help from a very generous benefactor, my dream came true.

The two cows that came to us were Longash Bikey and Longash Canada. Six months later the herd doubled with the birth of two calves Frieda and Freddie.

Shortly after this I returned to Longash and added two maiden heifers Endo and Ezzler to the herd.

In September 2018 we AI’d the four girls and as we stand today three of them are in calf, Ezzler failed to take to AI but we kept Freddie intact and we hope that eventually he will cover her.
